Frequently asked questions
How do I get documents from my home country while living in Spain?
There are three usual routes: your country's consulate in Spain, an official online service at home, or a relative with a power of attorney. Once the apostille or legalisation is on, send us clear scans.
Is the apostille the same for every country?
No. Countries in the Apostille Convention issue an apostille, which Spain accepts with no further legalisation; a sworn translation is still needed. Others, such as Ghana, use legalisation through their foreign ministry and the Spanish mission. Each country guide above explains its own route. See the order of apostille and translation.
